Mozart Players

Mozart Players

Please come and join our preparatory string group: The Mozart Players!

This is a non-audition group for students playing Level 1 1/2 to 2 Concert Literature, or part way into Suzuki Book 2. We are especially looking for students who have learned the notes on all four strings of the instrument. If you are an advanced student and want a challenge, this is a great place for you to grow in your skills.

Our goal is to have a place for students who need a challenge because they are learning quickly. We want to enhance the school orchestra string program by helping students build performance skills and a love for orchestral literature.

Mozart Players perform at the Winter Concert and the Spring Concert. During our concerts, the Mozart Players have traditionally performed one piece together with The Amadeus Players (directed by Deborah Ward).

We ask parents to attend a short meeting before our first rehearsal to fill out registration forms and meet with the directors for additional information. Parents are welcome to sit in at any and all rehearsals.

The directors are Deborah Ward and Rachael Anderson.

Though no audition is required, please call 503-485-2244 or email with your intention to participate.

“I enjoy encouraging new string talent and seeing our students grow through the years as they move on to audition for Amadeus, Philharmonia, and Youth Symphony. If you are a student starting out on strings, please join us!”
Deborah Ward, conductor
